Cultural Management

Helga understands culture as a living fabric of relationships – a space where ideas, people, and generations resonate with one another. Her work as a cultural manager and foundation board member is driven by a desire to unite artistic excellence with social responsibility.

Having studied cultural management, pedagogy, and historical performance practice, she now leads artistic and educational projects at the intersection of art, science, and public life. At the Lucerne Theatre, she was responsible for the conception and realization of large-scale productions and institutional collaborations, as well as for developing innovative event formats for sponsors and partner organizations.

As a board member of the Rudolf von Tobel Foundation, she initiates and oversees international exchange programs – among them collaborations with the Pau Casals Foundation in Spain. Her focus lies on supporting young musicians, preserving cultural heritage, and building sustainable networks between artists, researchers, and cultural institutions.

Helga is particularly committed to advancing women in the cultural sector. She works to strengthen structures that foster visibility, participation, and recognition – beyond traditional hierarchies. In her work, strategic clarity meets artistic sensitivity: cultural management as the art of enabling.

Mission

I support artistic processes that enable encounter, awareness, and transformation – projects where people truly listen to one another, something new comes into being, and a sense of connectedness becomes tangible.

It is especially important to me to encourage women and young artists to find and express their voices – in art and in the broader cultural dialogue. In this way, culture can become what it is at its core: a space of participation, renewal, and living exchange.

Vision

I see culture as a living force that connects people and inspires social renewal. My vision is a cultural landscape where art, science, and consciousness interweave – where creative processes not only emerge but also build community. I wish for support structures that nurture diversity, courage, and mindfulness – especially for women and young talents whose perspectives will shape the cultural heritage of the future. Culture should not only preserve, but also transform: it can bring healing, insight, and a new understanding of humanity into the world.
